Some of our users have reported issues the plug-in going back to trial mode every time the plug-in is opened, even after successfully activating with a valid license key.
For most Windows users, this issue has been resolved in the version 1.1.0 of Clear. Please make sure you are using the latest version of Clear.
If you're using MacOS, this may be happening due to the activation file not being created properly. Here are steps on how to make sure your activation file is being created.
A. Go to the application support folder
- For Clear, the folder is: /Library/Application Support/Supertone/
- For Air, this folder is: /Users/{username}/Library/Application Support/Supertone/
- In Finder, click on the "Go" menu and select "Go to Folder" (shortcut: shift + cmd + G) and copy paste the address above (make sure you fill in your own username)
- For Clear, please make sure you are accessing Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support instead of ~/Libarary/Application Support or (username)/Library/Application Support
B. You will find a folder named Clear or Air in this folder. Right-click on the folder and click on "Get Info"
C. Set the privilege value to "Read & Write" to your current macOS account under the "Sharing and Permissions" menu. The goal is to make sure the userinfo file inside the folder gets created and filled with the necessary activation information.
- Make sure you click on "apply changes to enclosed items".
D. Please try re-installing the plug-in and activating with your license key again. The activation will not reset anymore and the userinfo file will now contain the contents of this activation file.
